Rushing frats as a second-year

I was wondering if anyone could speak on rushing frats here at Cal Poly in the fall as a 2nd year. I just finished winter rush and made it far but unfortunately did not receive a bid.
Is it very difficult competing for spots with 1st years, or do frats keep some spots reserved for second years? For context I have some friends in the houses that I plan on rushing in the fall.

Rushing is competitive at Cal Poly, period. Only about 30% of guys get a bid at each rush. I think rushing as a sophomore is fine, especially if you have friends in the house already. I wouldn't necessarily say it's more or less difficult, but I know it is difficult in general. I did spring rush as a sophomore and am with that fraternity now.
