SIGMA NU LITTLE BROTHER
by: CP 2027Hi my brother is a Sigma Nu . I will be attending CP next year. We have always been super competitive and I know he really wanted to get a bid from Lambda which he said was the top fraternity but they passed on him. Now that he was rejected now he says SN is better but I remember him crying about not getting a bid from Lambda. Are there any tips on how to get a Lambda bid? The competitive nature in me would just love to rub in his face that I got invited to the best fraternity and he was rejected. I am better looking than my. Brother and work out a lot more, any “secrets” to get into the top fraternity in CP?

There is a house for everyone. Yes Lambda is the top fraternity but they are looking for the right fit just like every other house. With your brother in SN you have a foot in the door. SN is ok, not on the level of Lambda or DU but they are a good house and better than Phi Psi or DX

Every guy when they rush wants a Lambda bid but their is a reason they are #1. THEY ARE THE MOST SELECTIVE FRATERNITY AT CP. Lambda probably takes way less than 10% of rushees. I admit when I rushed Lambda was my goal but they can’t take everyone that rushes them otherwise they would be the only house at CP. Make sure you have a backup plan because over 90% don’t make the cut. I ended up at DX which should definately be on your list.

lambda for the love of god stop spamming greekrank. if y’all want the truth lambda was historically top house but in the past few years has been on a downward trend. most sororities consider dchi and snu the top houses with houses like lambda, phi psi, and du right below. honestly every house just has a different vibe and different people like different houses. with that being said, lambda is definitely not as desirable as dchi or snu, unless you know nothing about the frats at cal poly and are rushing based on outdated information. get off greekrank and clean up your image lambda

That’s not true. My boy friend is a Delta Chi and I know for a fact Lambda was his first choice and I think I can honestly say every single member of Delta Chi and Sigma Nu had rushed Lambda but didn’t get a bid. Personally I don’t know why all the guys want to be Lambda… sure they are the best looking, throw the best parties and are the most prestigious but honestly they are stuck up they ONLY hang with the TOP sororities and you wont ever see them hanging with any of the middle or bottom tier sororities. I belong to a sorority most often ranked in the bottom tier but we do a lot with both DX and SN.. we girls are not the hot blinds that Lambda likes but we always feel welcome at SN and DX.

Actually I didn’t get a Lambda bid but it’s super impossible to get a bid from them unless you have connections. I did get a bid from SN but I decided to accept a bid from DU because it’s obviously a more prestigious fraternity than SN so I still get to stroke my competive nature and tell my brother I got into a better fraternity than he did.

Congrats Du is not on the level of Lambda but they are universally considered #2 and much better than SN or DX

Definately a good choice going DU over SN. SN is in a tailspin and DU is on the rise
