Note to incoming freshmen

College is not like high school, very few people care about social status and those people that do are those who post on this website. As someone who dropped a "top tier" frat and is now in my 4th year in a "bottom tier" house every house has a different culture and the more prestigious houses tend to be more fake. Choose the people and not the status. My bottom tier house is filled with many top house defectors that felt the culture there was toxic and not a brotherhood. By all means if that you find a highly rated house that you fit into and you feel at home then choose it but don't get sucked into the superficial nature of this site. Nobody cares what fraternity you are in just choose the place that you feel like is home. There are houses up and down house ratings with good people that will care about you and help you make the best of your 4 years here at poly.
