The reason I picked DU over SN, DX, PHI PSI

There is a lot of misinformation about which fraternities belong at the top with Lambda Chi. I went though rush and received bids from Sigma Nu , Delta Chi ,Phi Kappa Psi and Delta Upsilon. All those houses “claim to be in the top tier with Lambda Chi.
I did rush Lambda Chi but there didn’t seem to be much interest on their part, from what I hear you have to know someone in the chapter or be some celebrity to be considered.
I received bids from Delta Upsilon, Sigma Nu, Phi Kappa Psi and Delta Chi all which claim to be in the top tier with Lambda Chi.
Here were my observations and why I chose Delta Upsilon. DU has a brand new purpose built fraternity mansion, the other rushes that I met ALL seemed to favor DU over SN, DX or Phi Kappa Psi. Other than a handful it seems all the others I met had to settle for SN, DX, or Phi Psi because they didn’t meet the minimum standards of DU when you go though rush it will be OBVIOUS that DU is a better quality fraternity than SN,DX or Phi Psi.
If you ask the TOP sororities who they prefer to pair with the answer is ALWAYS Lambda Chi or Delta Upsilon, ALL other fraternities are considered a down gauge and disappointment to pair with.
Rush the BEST but be prepared to have a backup plan because Lambda and DU are the only selective fraternities at CP

So right DU had been bottom tier and on life support until their wealthy alumni stepped up and built them a purpose built fraternity mansion. DU upped their game and pretty much passed up every other fraternity now they just see fraternities like Delta Chi, Sigma Nu, and Phi Psi out their rear view window

I also passed on bids from DX, SN and Phi Psi they are ALL OVER RANKED and not good houses

I also got bids from SN, DX and Phi Psi and DU, I can speak for my entire PC ALL of us had multiple bids. ALL of us had bids from SN, DX and Phi Psi plus many others. The choice was easy when you compare the guys in DU compared to SN,DX, Phi Psi there will be no doubt which is the better fraternity. ALL the negative comments are coming from SN,DX PHI PSI and others THEY ARE ALL LOSING THEIR TARGET RUSHEES TO DU but they shouldn’t be surprised because it’s a SLAM DUNK for DU when you compare them with the weirdos and sketch guys in DX,SN and PHI PSI

Rumor was a whole bunch of SN Pledges contacted DU to see if they would bid them as a group but since they didn't meet their standards the first time they passed on them.

I am a Phi Sig and I didn't get a bid from any of the fraternities listed so I can give a honest opinion of the status of all the fraternities mentioned above. OP is right that DU has leapfrogged just about everyone after building their fraternity mansion. ALL negative ranking are from Sigma Nu, Delta Chi, Phi Psi. All those houses USED to be way above DU but now DU gets first choice of their target rushes. I know because I rushed all of them but ended up at Phi Sig, SN,DX and Phi Psi are full of GEEDS. I personally would be embarrassed being seen in any of those crowds...

I actually pledged DX but dropped them when I realized how many geeds in that house.

When I rushed and compared it was also obvious that DU was #2 behind Lambda and would have been my choice if I didn't get a Lambda bid. To be honest DX,SN and Phi Psi are in a downward spiral and no one respects them...In fact I know for a fact most of their members don't even wear their letters because they are embarrassed that they are members.

snu kept calling me begging for me to join even after I told them I already pledged DU... FACT SN,DX, ZBT are all in a downward spiral.

SN and DX are in a free fall, Phi Psi already bottomed out last year. You can’t be considered top houses when there are at least 2 fraternities above you that cream the best rushees.

To be honest the ONLY fraternity at CP that is selective is Lambda Chi all the other fraternities are happy to have members, that being said in quality DU is definitely #2 behind Lambda then I would say #3 DX #4 SN #5 Phi Psi then the rest
