no bid
by: FreshmanI rushed 3 fraternities and went to 2 of them a lot. I got called back but no bid. My room mates tell me to rush in winter but I don't know if that is a good idea. I don't know what I would do differently. My brothers are both in frats at other colleges and never had a problem getting a bid. I wasn't expecting this. Is rush easier in winter? Should I just try clubs? Do clubs have a social scene?

Going to 2 of them a lot isn't going to help increase your chances of getting a bid. Pretty much within the first 5 minutes of talking to a brother they will know if they want you in the fraternity or not. Set realistic expectations. Did you rush frats that were considered "top" and had a lot of pnms rushing?

I have hard classes and they conflicted with some rush events so it was hard to even go to 3 houses. I heard to focus on two so you get to know the guys. I got invited back to one once and the other twice, so I'm guessing somebody like me in 5 minutes somewhere. I just don't know that I'd do anything different next time. I make friends easily so don't know what happened. Pretty discouraged, not gonna lie. Is winter rush easier?
