houses to rush for guys next year
by: inboundAlright, for all the incoming freshman thinking about rushing including myself, help us out and give us a rundown of top houses and their personalities and whatnot. I think this could be a huge help for people.

You can pretty much figure the top 3 houses if you just read though the posts from this year or last. The "top" house is the one that probably gets put down the most because of jelously from all the houses below them. Another good way is to ask the top 3 sororities which are the best fraternities and they will probably be the same ones ranked on this site.

Note to you ignorant freshman. Don't just rush a house for the "top" house label. You need to find where you fit in. If you choose right, your life is going to be changed in many ways for the better. There are a lot of other great fraternities than the other person posted, like Beta, Sigma Pi, TKE. You just have to find where you mesh. If you want the "top house" appeal, go for it, but you might not get as much out of greek life if you do it for that reason. However, if you fit in that "top house", then by all means go for it, you are going to love it. Welcome to cal poly!

This is true. If you always were an athelete,popular and girls would swarm over you like bees to honey and you have an athletic body and were constantly told you were "hot" by all means try for one of the top houses you will probably fit right in. If you didn't have many friends,are socially awkward, hung out with the band and chess club and have a pear shapped overweight body never had a attractive girl friend you will probably need to skip the top rated houses but you will find more people you click with at those other houses.

This is true the best houses are never ranked in the top tier basically the top 5 houses are all ranked by self rankers. The new pledges and exsisting members are forced to vote for their own fraternities and at the same time try to bash the other self ranked "top houses" to make themselves look better. If you want a real brotherhood at a real top house look to one of those that do not "self rank" and not shallow about what they "look like"
