houses to look for next year
by: BritIt's without a question that dchi and lambda were top houses on campus this year. But what houses are expected to jump into the discussion for top tier houses next year like signu did this year? It seems a lot of freshman rushees are steering away from houses like lambda because the guys all act like douche bags during rush. And then dchi is getting kicked off so their rush numbers will be low

What makes you think freshman are steering away from LXA they definitely had the biggest number of rushees last year and I expect they will have just as many this year. As the repution and image of LXA has grown I suppose some freshman who think they won't stand a chance of getting a bid from LXA may instead seek to join one of the other houses like SN and not even rush LXA.

I know for a fact that's not true, three kids from my dorms in 2013 rushed Pike, none of them got in, now two are in Lambda and one in DSP.

Are the DSP and PIKE pledge masters making all the pledges come on here and vote?.... How does it feel to be irrelevant????
BYE BYE DSP and PIKE see you back in about 4 years as a colony and still irrelevant. Oh and as a resonse to @lmao I was offered a bid from Pike, DSP and a few others but decided to go with the best.

I know for a fact probably at least 25-50% of the membership of PIKE and DSP had rushed LXA but were not given bids so ended up at their 2nd or 3rd choice.

I'm an incoming freshman looking to rush this coming year. What houses should i be on the lookout for? Got a friend in signu and a friend's brother in deltachi, but wondering what you guys have to add. I'm a reasonably good looking guy, athletic and in shape, and academically driven, but i see all these houses pushing themselves super hard as top house and wondering if I can get any input on what I should be expecting or looking for.

I would always have a backup so you don't get shut out. Try one of the houses in trouble ( not sure they can rush) but DSP and PIKE will probably blanket bid anyone that walks though their door. Then rush the top houses it will be very clear which houses those are by the amount of rushees and quality of the guys and girls. All the top sororities hang with the top fraternities so you will easily be able to know the top tier fraternities because they will have the best looking girls visiting. If the top houses don't give you a bid at least you will have a backup in DSP and PIKE. or one of the other houses that are less popular.

LXA attracted much higher quality guys than DSP or PIKE ever did if fact those not given bids by LXA headed to DSP and Pike and thats why those two houses are in the predicament they are in now.
