What's Hot - California State Polytechnic University, Pomona - CSPU

ZYA has a lot of nice girls but they always bash other chapters during Greek week and think they are top house. They are the mean girls, and known for picking a certain look during recruitment. Only the prettiest girls in chapter are allowed to recruit new members. They are known as the party girls and raise no money for their philanthropy but love to help frats earn money for the boy attention. I think this chapter just needs a little work and needs to reposition their efforts

It’s tough being new on campus but these girls are so sweet! They truly have a strong sisterhood. In a few years I’m sure they will be top house.

I met a lot of great guys in this frat. I also met a couple individuals who seemed to think a little too high of themselves. Like the post below says, the fraternity possesses a lot of great values, but I got the impression that not all the members seem to adhere to it. There really does seem to be that alpha-male complex going on with a good number of the members which is a shame for the rest of the guys who are in the frat. Most of my friends in greek life either really love them or really hate them.

These guys have the nicest looking house in all of the greek community. They’re also the oldest fraternity on campus. If there’s a such thing as “top house,” Phi tau is probably the closest thing. They also threw a sick joint party with Sigma Chi last year!

These guys were definitely the “cool, athletic guys” when I rushed. A lot of sororities really like them. I hear they also raise the most money for their philanthropy. Overally, very welcoming.

I rushed last spring but couldn’t join cause of financial reasons. Out of all the frats I checked out, these guys seemed to be the most genuine and humble. They’re slightly more low-key than some of the other “top fraternities” but also a lot of my friends who were in sororities would go to their house pretty frequently. They also talked a lot about their philanthropy. I’d say this fraternity was the best one in terms of brotherhood.

(THIS IS THE MOST ACCURATE REVIEW) As long as the people see this and remember it, thats all I need. They might delete this tho idk why they would when its a completely fair review. This frat definitely has down to earth people who are chill. But it also has a GOOD AMOUNT of guys who try to emulate the "alpha male" thing/complex that people read online to get girls and to be seen as dominant? It really doesn't work and it comes off as very rude to people. Their whole idea of being a gentlemen is covered with delusion and just guys who aren't really committed to what the frat stands for. If you do decide to join, you will learn about the values and such, which are really good values. Its just too bad that a good portion don't follow these values. In the end, partying and trying to do the deed with drunk girls is the end goal for a lot, which ironically doesn't happen. They want to seem like they have "status" and they way they're doing it makes it so obvious. Im really not here to bash on the entire frat. there are definitely guys who are motivated to succeed and are humble and cool to talk to. But fair warning, theres a good portion who have these "alpha male" complexes, which is stuff they read from the internet and youtube videos online. some may even order the self help books. I think this is by far the most accurate and fair review of this frat. It might be deleted by some of the guys, but if it does, Im just satisfied knowing that people saw it and read it. Usually wanting to be the "alpha male" stems from a deep source of insecurity and such. Its just all psychology at this point. Besides, most people who want to join, are dudes who want to be accepted (by community) and potentially score some (girls), which is what they know you want and you're not even guaranteed that, which makes sense. in the end, nothing is guaranteed and I wish all who do decide to rush the best of luck. I am very satisfied knowing that I gave prob one of the most accurate reviews about this fraternity.

Honestly they are not pleasant to be around and I think they should just close shop. Please don't join a sorority like this, you want to actually enjoy your time in collage.
