So.. serious question, are the sororities here really strict? Do they try to tell you how to dress, look, etc. in your day to day life, outside of events, like I've heard they are at some other schools? Or are they pretty chill?

It depends on which sorority! You will be able to tell when you go through recruitment. I am in a sorority here and they are very relaxed about rules but you must realize there are national obligations that the chapter must meet that deal with attendance and things like that but for the most part you are free to be yourself :)
