MIDDLE TIER

It is a common misconception that Phi Delt is a dry house. The chapter house itself is a dry facility. The guys in the house though, are not dry. These guys throw plenty of parties at their senior houses and know how to have a good time.

Whenever I go to Lambda, the guys are all super friendly to me, regardless of whether we are friends and have hung out a lot before, can't say the same for many other fraternities on campus. They really know how to make a girl feel welcome as a human being, not as a potential slam piece. Cool group of guys.

Alpha Phis are nice enough- if you are also a Phi. Or if you're a guy who can give them alcohol. A lot of the girls in this sorority seem nice, but they all need a reality check and maybe a chapter-wide reminder on how to be decent human beings to those not affiliated with their chapter. That being said, there are a couple of really horrible people that bring this chapter down in the eyes of everyone. They just need to be a little more cautious with their bids, and less fake during recruitment.

They're not all everyone cracks them up to be. The girls in this house love to make sure you know they're A Phi's, but they don't really have anything to brag about. When they go out, they get VERY sloppy. It also seems like all they care about is partying, and girls that don't really party seem to quickly turn into party animals. There are some nice girls, but they think too highly of themselves in terms of greek life and it's annoying because no one else really cares.

TOP TIER

I had always heard about how A Chi was a good house, but didn't really do too much to get themselves noticed. I would have previously agreed with that, but they have really gained a great presence on campus these past couple years. All the A Chi's I know are really nice and know how to have a good time, while still keeping it classy.

Before last year Sig Chi was on the decline, but was saved by this pledge class. The new pledge class saved the house GPA while still being a party house. It is still to be seen if this new pledge class will continue to bring up the house GPA and to stay involved. With this pledge class they are definitely a better overall house moving ahead of Phi Psi. Although they have the potential, they still have some work to do to on campus and academically to catch up to Delt and SNu.

Sadly Phi Psi continued their slide into the middle tier overall this year. They lost a lot of bids to Delt and Sig Chi and are not the same house they used to be especially with this pledge class. The pledge class has the lowest GPA and on the decline academically. Only time will tell if they are socially a top house, but they're getting a bad rep and more girls are scared to go over there. They can be saved by a good upcoming pledge class, but it's not looking bright.

BOTTOM TIER
By: frathonestyPosted:

If these guys were not a dry house, they would be competing as one of the top houses. Instead they are sadly a bottom tier house to the public since they cannot throw parties and offer the same social atmosphere that the other houses do. This also hurts their recruitment as they get the leftover freshmen that don't get into other houses like Delt and SNu. They do have the highest GPA and look like the best house involved on campus, but socially they are the lowest at Butler.

SNu has been a top house that was looking like it was on the decline, but this new pledge class saved them. This year they recruited great guys, but also mercy killed a ton of freshmen during rush week. They have the highest pledge class GPA and are always involved on campus, but since they were always on probation they were seen as socially inferior to other houses. They are back at the top and a rivalry between Delt and SNu may be brewing.

Always a top house at Butler and will continue to be in the upcoming years. High GPA, very involved on campus, and still have a good time. Had a good pledge class like usual, but recruited the same. Usually these guys conform to live their ritual, which they sometimes take too far to the point where they become stuck up and douchey. Social life goes up within Delt 2nd semester as they have closed events with sororities, but seen as socially lower to the other frats like Sig Chi and Phi Psi.
