Yes, Phi Kappa Psi will be returning to Brown in the fall of 2017. It remains to be seen if they will have an on-campus house, however, as all the other houses in Wriston Quad are currently occupied by other Greek organizations. Nonetheless, given the fraternity's long history at Brown--they were originally chartered in 1902--they will likely be able to secure some form of on-campus housing in the next several years. With Greek life starting to regain popularity at Brown (more than 100 people rushed Sig Chi during the spring of 2017), Phi Kappa Psi will likely see a surge in its membership and become more of a relevant Greek organization in the coming years.

What? Did 100 men really rush sigma chi, that's wild
When my cousin was at Brown a few years back it wasn't so competitive to get into fraternities. Has that changed so much?

Yeah someone recently told that the spring rush class of 2016 was only about 40 deep, but this past spring it suddenly rose to around 120. Insane surge in interest all of a sudden. Not sure if this will be a trend or if it's just an anomaly.

It remains to be seen what version of the fraternity may return to campus. Phi Kappa Psi has a long, mostly excellent history at Brown. The incidents that saw the fraternity removed were more about university overreach rather than fraternity actions. PKP at Brown officially became defunct after 2014. However, if there is a return it may be as a local house or an entity that draws upon the history of the chapter rather than being nationally connected. We shall see.
