Looks like this campus needs a wake up call as to how this whole "Greek Community" thing works. When a chapter does something dumb, insensitive, or down right illegal; then it looks pretty bad on the rest of us on this campus.

As all of you should be aware, Greek Life, or rather demolishing Greek Life, is quickly becoming the next social justice campaign. We all know the benefits which come along with being Greek, but the rest of the campus and most of the country is only able to see the wrongs which our brothers and sisters at other schools, and even our own, have committed.

It's time to come together as a community and show that we will not tolerate the actions of those who tarnish the already dwindling reputation of Fraternities and Sororities. Maybe it's through inter-chapter and inter-council events which raise awareness for social issue. Or perhaps a pledge to attend more sensitivity training. Or it could be as simple as keeping our own members in check when we see them doing something that we know to be wrong. Whatever is done, it needs to be done wholeheartedly and sincerely. Otherwise we risk losing something that we hold dear, and something which has given us the opportunities for growth as individuals.
