what to look for

Some things to consider, no particular order, and some may or may not be important to you. Social life (what events they have and what sororities they mix with), involvement (how involved they are on campus, if they're in organizations, if they participate in events like greek week), size of the national fraternity/alumni support, campus reputation, football tailgating, the house (if that's something that's important to you), personalities of the brothers, pledge process (if they have one and if you can find out).

The number one thing you should look at is the personalities of the brothers - do they seem like people you would enjoy hanging out with for the next 4 to 5 years or not. Look at their seniors - do they resemble what you want to be like in 4 years?

This is way more important than who they have mixers with or how they do in greek week or how many chapters they have in Texas.

Rush is a very quick process and can be overwhelming for some people so I think the most important thing is having a connection with the current brothers and pledge class. Unless you like the people in your fraternity, you won't enjoy your time there
