Do any fraternities have pledges yet?

Any fraternity that has already given out bids is extremely desperate.

This is incredibly innacurate. Top tier fraternities usually fill half their pledge class in the summer, and most good fraternities have already had several rush events in the past weeks or even months and are starting to give bids to compete for top rushees.

Any fraternity that isn't looking to get summer pledges is going to be desperate. Every fraternity worth a damn is trying to lock down a few summer pledges to start building a pledge class.

Ironically, SAE, sort of. They gave a kid a bid but like... It's SAE so calling him a pledge is inaccurate

Our pledge system is so rigorous, everyone is scared to take their bid

I believe FIJI has some, but they give out like 70 bids a year so that's pretty expected. SAE and Sigma Chi seem to get the top summer classes.

I love all of the random guesses on this thread and on this topic in general. And in response to someone saying that it's normal for top tiers to lock down half of their pledge class in the summer? Um no. Sigma Chi had 4 at the end of last summer. Lambda Chi had 3. Fiji had 3 or 4. That's barely a fifth. SAE and KA do tend to get more in the summer, but who cares? That's their personal style and it works for them. Amount of summer bids/pledges is not a reflection of any desperation or awesomeness of a fraternity. My advice to a summer rushee would be sit on your bids until fall. You won't regret it

Yeah, unless you're a legacy and 100% sure where you want to go because of that, wait until fall rush to accept a bid. That being said, if you get invited to a summer rush event and you're interested, go to it.
