No and no. Sororities never know how you rank them. If you have two houses and rank them both you are guaranteed a bid to one of them. This guarantee is based on Quota Additions, meaning that you will get a bid even if it puts a house over Quota because you didn't SIP (suicide). But if you SIP and aren't high enough on that house's bid list to match with them before they reach Quota, then you are out of luck and not getting a bid at all because you are then not eligible for Quota Addition. Roughly 85% of PNM's who rank both houses get their #1. If you have only 1 house for pref and put them on your card you are getting that bid for sure. Don't SIP unless you would rather not be in a sorority at all if you don't get that 1 house.
