Trying to clarify, I think he's asking which is more effective: to either A), pursue one fraternity he really wants (apparently he's looking forward to the 96 hours initiation) or B) use more of a shotgun method and rush a lot of places.
Which is a legitimate question.
Which I think the answer to would be focus on two or three a lot so they know you really well. Assuming you don't suck, they will probably give you a bid and you'll have gotten see enough different styles to make an informed decisions and build relationships elsewhere.
