Unwritten rules of Formal

by: Help me settle a debate

Isn’t it pretty much an unwritten rule of GT formals that the guy pays for the trip and the girl sleeps with him if you know what I mean?

This shouldn't be a topic for debate.

Even if she sleeps in the same bed with you that's not a go ahead to go further.

In my experience when you accept a gift on the order of an all payed for $250 trip it’s kind of expected but not required to make it a good time for him. No free lunches. When a girl goes on 3-4 different frats formals it usually means 1 thing

You have no experience dude. Sit down. That $250 trip is not a gift. It's the GUY'S formal and HE'S the one who NEEDS a date. She's already doing HIM the favor by agreeing to go so he doesn't have to be that guy who couldn't get a date.

What lame ass formal costs $250? You obviously have never actually been in a fraternity.

My guess is they were referencing just the half of the cost that goes to the girls portion

My guess is they were referencing their pathetic geed loser self with social and misogyny issues.

Personally I’ve hooked up with every girl I’ve taken on a formal/semi formal, but no it’s not required and not everyone does
