fraternity rankings

it depends on what you're looking for...just top tier, most fun, most athletic, southern, most social events, etc. But will try to come up with a list.

Very Top:
Sigma Chi - very southern, well respected, indisputably top, but can be a little boring/overrated and not very social. Mostly hangs out with ADPi.
FIJI - Athletic, really nice guys, know how to throw down, hangs out with Zeta and Phi Mu.
Beta - going through a rough period but I'm still putting them as top because they used to be the number 1 best fraternity, hottest guys, most exclusive, etc. Will get back to exactly where they were really soon.

Top but not quite where the very Top are:
Sigma Alpha Epsilon - Southern, well dressed, social. Has good gameday tailgates with food. Mostly hang out with Phi Mu & Alpha Xi. Right there, but just need a tiny bit more work to compare with very top.
Phi Delt - used to be very top but falling a little bit. Very social, but a bit redneck. Mostly Phi Mus & Alpha Xis there.
Sigma Nu - used to have a bad rep, cleaning that up. Nice guys, nice house, decently social.
KA - Also used to be very top, but falling a little bit. Can't put them in the very top because they're like not social at all. Super southern. They do Old South, where everyone dresses up like Gone with the Wind.

Middle:
Lambda Chi - really nice house, but known to be a bid factory, too many guys who don't know each other/don't get along. Also, douchey guys. Snobs. Treat girls crappy.
SigEp - People kind of forget about them, but with a little work they could be easily top. They're lots of fun, and have a lot of really good looking guys, which brings pretty girls

This website is filled with guys from the houses you see as the "top frats" on this list jerking each other off even if they haven't been as strong as they claim they are in years. Just rush around to everywhere you can next year and see what fits you the best. Fraternities that talk about being southern are exactly that, southern, but that doesn't make them top tier. No one will be honest on this website, you're best to just rush and see what places you would enjoy the most throughout college. Hope this helps.

Sigma chi KA phi delt SAE and Fiji are all places to consider. Buds from any of these are worth taking. Anywhere else on campus and you wouldn't go Greek at any other school

The top houses on campus are definitely KA, Sigma Chi, FIJI, and SAE. Phi Delt used to be considered top tier but is on the decline. These are the only houses at Tech that would be considered relevant at an SEC school

I'm a freshman girl, and I really don't see why people hang out at TKE and ATO that much. Every time I go I just feel like they want to get me as drunk as possible and don't actually care about talking to me

Here is one way of splitting up categories of Tech fraternities.

If you're looking for southern, you could fit in at:
SAE
Sigma Chi
KA
Phi Delt
Fiji

If you're not very southern, you could fit in at:
TKE
ATO
Lambda Chi
Sig Ep
Sigma Nu

If you're really focused on school but want to have a bit of fun on the side, Delta Chi is also a good place to rush.

...but the best advice anyone can tell you is to visit every fraternity (or at least the ones mentioned above) and see where you feel most comfortable. Best of luck.
