should i rush?
by: ConfusedSort of stereotyping here, but I feel like I'm just not the "type" that would fit in a sorority. But I really love the idea of sisterhood and the philanthropies the sororities are involved in. Part of me really wants to rush, but another part of me says that it would be no use because I probably wouldn't fit in anywhere.... Should I even bother?

I feel the same way. I'm going to rush, because I feel if I don't, I might regret it later. I say try it out and see if you like it. I know there are several people who go through rush just to meet new people and if I don't get anything out of rush, but new friends, I will still feel like I accomplished something by doing it.

Yes, you should definitely rush. Tech sororities aren't like your stereotypical sororities and they are all very different from one another. Out of the 7 sororities I'm sure you'll find one that you like. There are a lot of girls who I didn't think would join a sorority coming out of high school, but they ended up doing so because they found that they liked it. It's a little different for me because I'm a guy, but I rushed without the intention of joining, but I ended up joining a fraternity and it was one of the best decisions I made. You never know.
