boys ranks for rush

TOP 5(not going to rank these in order because they're all very different)- SX, SAE, KA, Beta, FIJI

These fraternities all mix with top sororities and pretty much all of their guys are cool bar the occasional oddball. Good guys, good sorority relations, good parties(FIJI and Beta throw less good parties than the rest, but FIJI'S Island Party and Beta Lei were both super fun last year). At any of these places you'll be able to have plenty of fun, so seriously just pick where you fit in best.

Lower top
KS, ATO, LXA, SNu, (Pike)

Pike has a pretty bad reputation, but they still do pretty well with girls and have some fun parties. They have trouble getting mixers because they don't really have good relations with any particular sorority, there's just a random assortment of girls that hang out there. Most people probably wouldn't put them in the top, but I have to admit that they do pretty well for themselves despite bearing the name Pike and all that comes with it. All of these places also do well socially, so I really wouldn't worry about them being "lower top" IF you like the brothers. Lambda mixed with both ZTA and ADPi last year somehow despite being kicked off campus recently, so I threw them in even though most would probably say they don't crack the top because they do have some weird guys. ATO is rebuilding after being kicked off recently or they'd probably be in the top 5, KS and SNU both have cool guys but they definitely are not as solid as the top 5 and have some weaker links.

Mid
Phi Delt, TKE, PKP, OX, Sig Ep

Decent places, you'll still have a great time here if you fit in and you'll have plenty of options with girls. Definitely give these places a look and don't just rush top places because they're top. Ultimately, you'll have way more fun wherever you fit in with brothers.

Bottom
Everyone else

I don't really know much about the rest of the fraternities(which means they're not throwing huge fun parties or doing great with top sororities), but obviously a lot of people still join them so check them out if you want to.


Don't read into this list too much because your pledge class is so much more important than who the current brothers are. Your pledge class will end up being your best friends and the guys you spend most of your time with, so it's very important to make sure you like at least a few other rushees/pledges before you take a bid. Don't be nervous about rush, brothers are trying to impress you just as much as you're trying to impress us. Look around at a lot of places even if you think you know where you fit in, we understand and it's better for both parties if you rush around and find where you belong. Whatever you do, I would avoid listening to sorority girls too much about where to rush because most girls will only tell you one or two places to go just because they like those places the best. Have fun and take your time- theres no need to stress and try to get or take a bid really quickly. Rush is a great opportunity to meet people, get free food, and just learn about Greek Life.
