I don't know that they killed it in rush this year. They seem to have gotten a good pledge class, but almost everyone "seems" to have gotten a good pledge class as well. It's a little early to tell. And just because the pc is good, doesn't mean rush was good. There were a lot of girls who hated Zeta because they were mean and stuck up, among other things. A lot has been said about their actual recruiting this year. Zeta isn't really all that because they do nothing for the greek community.

I'm not a part of greek system and I'm not that familiar with them, but I've been around these girls and I have no idea why you think they're a catty bunch. They're very nice and an amazing group to be around. I don't even know where some of the wrong stereotypes come from.
