I don’t know any of the girls personally, but I have seen them at a few events! PRETTY terrible! The chapter at Georgia State is dreadful! I’m sure there founders are turning over in there graves. Don’t be fooled! I will say that they’re rude, arrogant recruitment tactics are pathetic! I hope that the culture of this chapter can be changed. Sisterhood this is not.

I hope this review can help someone. If you are not a robot and want to be your own woman with a rational mind, run away as fast as you can. These little girls give all of these unrealistic rules that they do not even follow. Their attitudes are very nasty, unprofessional and fake. It comes across more as a gang than a sorority. These girls get their rocks off tormenting and bullying young women that are trying to get involved with them. They have these staged meetings that all the current and past members show up to pretending to be potential members. It is a sham. These girls are a real contradiction to what this is supposed to be. They steal ideas from other groups and act like they came up with the idea. Most of these girls hate each other. All these girls are followers, there is only one brain for the entire group and even that is not a smart brain. This is not a sisterhood, it is a bimbo fest. Every perspective member is a law major or medical major and most of these girls can’t even spell major. There are no normal girls here. To quote Eddie Murphy in coming to America all these GSU AKA’s have severe emotional problems. These little girls say that the only people that write bad reviews are women that can’t make the line of GSU AKA. That is not true I stopped after two meetings because I realized these girls are completely shallow, insecure and delusional. If you don’t have a man or don’t want one, this is the group for you. No rational minded man would want anything to do with any of these girls. This is a group of sociopaths. I thought an affiliation with GSU AKA would help my career but I’ll take my chances on my own or with my Masters degree because I don’t want to be affiliated with these girls now or in the future because these girls are not exceptional. Hope this helps!!!

I used to want to be an AKA before college, but then I got here and these girls are incredibly rude and not welcoming! They make it so difficult to try to become a member. My family members always ask me if I’m gonna try to be an AKA and after meeting these girls the answer is definitely not. At least in undergrad at GSU

Are you guys doing a line spring 2018 or anytime soon? I love AKA don't care much for the chapter at GSU but I love the overall aspect of AKA. The girls I've come in contact with on campus are so rude, dry and unbothered by their nasty attitudes. I refuse to let that stop me from something that has been a Forever dream of mine. If anyone knows about rush 2018 spring - 2019 Fall, please post.

So you come on this site to talk bad about an organization you want to be apart of? Why would you want someone to be your sister if you think they are rude, dry and unbothered?

Not welcoming or receptive to girls who are interested in joining. Just nasty mean girls who make snide comments about girls behind their backs. NOT in the spirit of sisterhood. This chapter has the WORST REPUTATION for a reason. Definitely gonna do grad chapter cause I can’t with these girls.

This comment is coming from a sorority member of another organization at Georgia State. I have never been interested in joining a non- Panhellenic sorority. So my opinion is very unbiased, i promise!! I have seen sooo many girls attempt to join this sorority and give up because this chapter makes it nearly impossible to join. In my opinion, they treated everyone of my friends So bad and not like potential sisters. It was very sad, to get considered you must attend various programs. And one of my friends was mislead to think they had a chance and then the chapter come out with a new line without telling her she didn’t make the cut . I’m not sure if non-Panhellenic rules are different, but i really felt as if some of the sisters were taking advantage of my friends. I have also met some very sweet AKAs who are a joy to be around!! So just keep all this in mind. Again these are my opinions based off of what i have seen and experienced. But always try to keep an open mind!!
