I am a proud sister of Delta Zeta. When I was going through Rush (yes, that’s what it was called in the good ole days) I remember being at Shenanigans downtown after a long day of Rushing, and about 20 DZs came walking in and it was impressive. We all wanted to be like those respected girls! Delta Zeta was THE only sorority for me! This sisterhood has given me lifelong relationships with women that I respect, relay on and have been my bridge over troubled waters many times. We are there for each other, through births, deaths, divorces, illnesses, careers, and so much happiness! It makes me sad that being nice appears to some, to not be built into the Delta Zeta women. As the Delta Zeta creed states, “To my friends understand and appreciation; To those closer ones, a love that is ever steadfast.” Live it, claim it, prove it! In this world when you can be anything, be kind! I love my past memories with my sisters and look forward to many more ahead. #sisterhoodforlife

This sorority is a very obvious close group of girls. The sisterhood is not forced but natural. I have seen nothing but fun, kind girls in this sorority. However, i have heard they have a lot of problems with their alumnae, they seem to be overly involved and controlling of the girls.

Joining Delta Zeta was by far my best decision in college. The true sisters I have started with this decision 40 years ago. They have been my support throughout the years. Absolutely, the best ever!

I am a Founding Sister of Lambda Pi. Yes, that means I’m old enough to be your grandmother. DZ was a huge part of my college life, and it disturbs me greatly to read negative posts. There is room enough on GC’s campus for every Greek organization. How boring it would be if there were only one. Of course, I did and will continue to give DZ high marks, AND I will recognize the good things about the others. Shame on anyone who does not.

Prior to going in to rush, I had heard things about all the sororities and had a predetermined decision about who would be the best fit. And I quickly found out (as cliche as it sounds), DZ was home. There wasn’t just one kind of girl- there were athletes that I could dominate in Greek Week with, religious girls that I could participate on campus outreach with, social girls I could go out with. There was always a study buddy I could cram with and talk in to going to Saga (the Max now?) brunch on Sundays. I felt like I could truly be myself in DZ without conforming to the other (stuffy) sorority stereotypes and it was always evident that they loved me for me. I cannot imagine my 4 years at GCSU without being a part of this organization and treasure the friendships, memories and experiences that came from my time in DZ.

This DZ chapter was an integral part of my collegiate years, and has continued to be in my alum years. I am still very involved with Delta Zeta and have always kept up with my beloved collegiate chapter, The women are lovely, intelligent and work to make a difference with philanthropy both local and national. I was and am still very proud to be part of this chapter and am grateful for the sisterhood that Is still so important in my life today.

I love this sorority! They have a long line of alumni in this community. These girls have been been very active with the alumni. They are working on ways to be involved with other sororities at the college.

Like all sororities I am sure there are some bad apples. This does not define the sorority as a whole. I am a Delta Zeta and have been on campus for 15 years. I have seen them at all kinds of events and they have always acted on their best behavior. I have made life long sisters, friends and they are part of my family now. They are there for me through good times and bad times. My experience with them they are a top notch sorority. All people will make mistakes but this should not define the person or the group as a whole. Go DZ!
