We were informed that our chapter will be a candidate to receive one of four annual slots for recolonization next year (2016-17) or the following year (2017-18)... This is big news since there are over 100 dormant SigEp chapters with about 30 vying for recolonization at any one time. Headquarters informed us that it was due to our well-financed and active AVC – which is the biggest challenge for most re-colonzation efforts – that Virginia Mu ranked so high nationally against other chapters...

It shouldn't. None of the Sig Eps who joined A Sig should be able to consider themselves a brother of Sig Ep. They lost that privilege. Asig just has 1 year of alumni while Sig Ep has about 30 which definitely means Asig is a much weaker fraternity at Mason.

Awesome! Do all of the past members who then colonized Alpha Sigma Phi have to graduate before you recolonize Sig Ep?!?
