pike sae or chi psi???? help
by: Your boyIs Chi Psi a good frat even though it's so small? Do they do much events and big ones since they are so small? Like they have 12 active brothers. My other options are SAe and PIKE. They're both ehh but SAE felt nicer PIKE is too jocky even though they are so big and do lots of great things. ANY ADVICE??

I know a couple of brothers in Chi Psi granted if I didn't know them personally I wouldn't know them at all. They are rich as hell, but they don't throw raging parties by any means. SAE has a lot of internal conflict with the brothers, but they are relatively new to George Mason started chapter in 2008. Pike is the jocky fraternity they are known for dominating sports. I think you should check out more fraternities because the decision should be obvious to you.

You should go to their events and see what each fraternity is about. They All have different things going for them. I would say choose who you best get along with. Chi Psi is small at the moment but they have a very strong brotherhood because of it and are looking to increase numbers. PIKE and SAE may lack some brotherhood because of their size and they're different personal identities, but they have more large events due to that size.

Dont look at Pike's large numbers and think its a good thing. The only reason they are so big is because they were in fear of becoming such a small chapter when their 25 seniors (or half their fraternity) in 2013 graduated. They gave out bids to virtually everyone and had a large, but soft spring class. They are becoming the new fraternity to give bids to everyone. They were the ones who even came up and pushed for the IFC resolution to make bids available in the beginning of rush week. WHY? So they could get more members. Not to actually build a better fraternity. It was just to stay afloat.

One of the brothers I know in SAE hasn't gone to a party since last Christmas. He doesn't like their brothers very much. SAE nickname is Sigma Alpha Everyone because they give out a lot of bids to people they hardly know. I can't tell you personally as I'm not a member, but the brothers I know have talked about internal brothers.
Pike is a bit jockey and yes all of them or jockey. They all played varsity sports in high school. Now some of them are smaller and played soccer, but you have to take into consideration you should join a fraternity where you feel comfortable. If you feel out of place in Pike you shouldn't join.
At this point I would suggest waiting until spring rush to find out a better fit for you.
