low gpa rushing

I got an email stating my GPA is below a 2.5 and will significantly effect the outcome of bids. Is this true? Should I move forward with the recruitment process? It is not that much below a 2.5. Which sororities do you think will automatically eliminate me? Please help

Most sororities will automatically eliminate you after day 1 of recruitment. I would suggest waiting to go through recruitment until you get your GPA above a 2.5, since most chapters are required to release you based on their bylaws

This is true, you can still move forward with recruitment, but just know that for some sororities a lower GPA will affect bid outcomes. If you want you could try again in the spring and use this semester to try and improve your GPA to get a better experience.

You should wait. I know CHIO and KD will eliminate based on gpa, but I'm sure others will too.

2.5 is the standard minimum for GMU IFC & panhellenic. Can't speak for the multicultural orgs though (typically, much higher)
