by: PNM'swhat are the pro's and con's of BOTH frats and sororitys? Which ones have "reputations", whether negative or positive? Is there actually "top tier" sorority/frats? I know it's a very general question, I just hope to inform myself as well as other interested students.

There sre no top tier fraternities or sororities at gmu. Greek life at this school is uncomparable to that of other schools. No one goes to gmu to join greeklife. Yes there are some fraternities that throw better parties than others but they all range differently. Honesty its up to you to see whee you fit in and like the people the most. Since there is no bousing panhellinic and ifc are irellevant and have no power.

the sororities at gmu are all pretty much the same. There isn't really major differences among them, they all have hot girls, they all have those who put max effort vs those who dont, they all are pretty social. It's the frats that are really different. Some party a lot, some don't. Some have good brotherhood, some don't. Some have a lot of events while others rarely have any.
