thinking of joining beta?

I will be a freshmen next year and had an uncle who was a beta long ago. I was wondering if you could give me any info about them?

Being a legacy is cool and all but I wouldn't rush a brand new fraternity. You pay all that money and it won't really get rolling socially for another couple years at least
