Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority Ratings at GMU

love aoii! they are so involved on campus, genuinely nice girls, and super fun to be around. they are def one of the top sororities on campus. they have a great sisterhood and love to have fun.

I'm not afraid to say I am a Pike. These girls have a great sisterhood and have already shown their new members that. They have strong leaders in their chapter, not sure what the posts below refer to. The girls I've been around are not judgmental at all, they seem very accepting of others and are open to mixing with any frat (no not just ours) or sorority for that matter. They are role models on this campus and I think that people who get on here and bash them are jealous. Try being positive!

Many of the girls are great individuals and down to earth, but the organization itself has been rolling down the hill because of really poor leadership that does not listen to their sisters. Those that want to make improvements, throw out new ideas and change are usually ignored and left out on their own to influence AOII. It seems to be that the integration of new sisters is getting rougher by the year. The new girls need better role models and mentors to look up to if AOII wants to stay on top

Do not like these girls at all, catty and not open. Don't get me wrong, they have SOME amazing sisters but a lot of them are just super judgmental. A couple of them were drunk at formal recruitment this fall. Not the top...at all...

Mixed feelings about them. All of the girls that are worth having in a sorority are in AOII but are shutout by the girls who d-hop PIKE and Phi Sig. They really pick terrible leaders for their exec board as well. I see how much those without positions want to mix with other fraternities and want to change AOII, but when it comes down to it, its all just a popularity contest and they don't really care. Some really want sisterhood but the older girls and "leaders" don't make that happen.

They're over rated in my opinion. They dont do many events to raise money for their philanthropy which in my opinion is one of the most important parts of being a part of a sorority. Their sisterhood is extremely strong but they dirty rushed this year and it gave them a bad reputation in some of the new members eyes. I know girls in this sisterhood who are great people but they act like they're better than the other sororities on campus.

Thanks to the Aphi below for typing this (they aren't good at hiding things especially when they post it from their phones in public). They never exploited a death and it's sick that you would think they would do that to get a better pledge class than you! They never had any sisters drop because of this. Get your facts straight.

No, the fact that they were using a sister's death for sympathy is absolutely true. Some of the deceased's best friends in AOPi dropped upon discovering they were going to be exploiting her death to "get a hot pledge class this year" since they had to give out snap bids last fall. Aside from being appalled that they would do this, I'm genuinely kind of sad that an organization that claims to have such a strong "sisterhood" would use such a tragedy as a rush tool.

I like Aopi, they were all really nice and respectful during recruitment. A lot of people are saying they used the death of their sister as a way to get sympathy but as someone who saw the ceremony and was actually present, it was a sweet way to honor and show respect to a sister they had lost and in no way did it seem like they were trying to get points.

I would have to disagree with the comment below. I rushed this past fall and preffed Chi Omega and AOPI my last day. However, the second day the reason I dropped Alpha Phi is because they were telling me that AOPI was going to use their sister's death as a sob story to recruit girls. This really turned me off and I think it's really sad they would tell girls this. Although AOPI was not the right home for me, I don't think for a second their intentions were bad. Their ceremony was beautiful.
