George Mason University has a decent sized greek population compared to other schools. There are about 15+ fraternities and only 8 sororities on campus. Although there are high numbers in each sorority chapter, girls have less of an option than guys do during rush. Because of this, selection for recruitment is very competitive while fraternal rush isn't as competitive. The social scene is active and the involvement is through the roof. I always see some chapter on campus doing an event. Sororities are not allowed to have a house here due to a (dumb) law. Parties are always fun and awesome but nothing super spectacular in my opinion. As for looks, it ranges but I would say we have a LOT of beautiful women and there are many "good looking" men spread across different chapters.

Mason Greek life is definitely the way to go, I couldn't imagine being unaffiliated on a campus like Mason. Make sure you rush as many fraternities or sororities you're interested in to see which one fits you best!
