By: autism speaks is corrupt Posted:
y’all are incredibly sweet girls and i have a lot of respect for your chapter. that being said Autism Speaks is an incredibly harmful and corrupt organization that supports eugenics. they ran ad campaigns that vilified autistic people and had parents that talked about how they wanted to kill themselves and their autistic child because of the “stress” their child brought to them. no one on austism speaks exec board has autism, and their ceo takes in a pretty generous annual salary. the puzzle piece logo is also offensive to people with autism as it implies they have a problem that needs to be solved or a piece missing. please pressure ur national head quarters to support an organization that actually listens to the voices of autistic people and uplifts and supports them for exactly who they are
