dg moving up?

DG is awesome on campus right now and they are def a top tier sorority, if not highest middle tier. They have an awesome sisterhood, very involved in everything on campus, have/had sweethearts in top fraternities, and just an all round great group of girls. If they get a good pledge class this year, there is no stopping them.

there is a huge difference from a few years. DG is totally a top tier force on campus and from the buzz I hear from the freshman, it's one of their top choices. Gotta give DG credit, they've earned their spot on the top.

furman is really really small and the sororities change very quickly. Right now DG has some really awesome girls and they had a great pledge class last year. ADPI had a terrible pledge class and had to pick up new members this fall because their numbers aren't great. Also, they've been careless with their behavior for the past few years. It only takes a few girls, good or bad, to change a sorority on campus. I think DG is def moving up

Honestly, they have risen in the ranks a lot since I was a freshmen. Most of the girls who gave them a bad reputation are gone, and the only people who are denying that they are moving up are the ADPis who are terrified of losing their spot on top (and based on their most recent pledge class, that ship has sailed), and getting the reputation DG used to have. DG is an extremely genuine group of girls, and I'm glad to see them getting the better reputation that they deserve.

I'm in what's considered a top tier and I think its the stupidest thing. Who cares what tier your sorority is? I love mine but not because of its rank. If were talking about Dg's popularity on campus, then yes they've moved up so much. Most of the girls who gave them a bad rep graduated the past 2 years or are seniors now and their last pledge class is cool so yes they're making great strides. I'd say I consider them one of the top 3 on campus from what I hear PNMs say they want to rush, but its all about where you fit in. I wouldn't switch sororities even if we fell to bottom tier.

I totally agree.. I love my sorority and we are considered top tier but I am really glad to see DG improve so much because one of my best friends is a DG and I am really happy for her. The whole tier thing is very middle school and the only people that care are new PNM's... so yes , if you are PNM than DG is def worth trying for..they're so nice!

rule of thumb: if a post mentions DG on the rise and ADPi on the fall, there's an 80% chance it was written by a DG. With that being said, DG is definitely improving, and are solid good middle tier for sure, but need a good class this year to solidify that they're continuing to improve.

ok,lets' get one thing straight..furman is really really small people! That means that only one or two pledge classes can change an entire sorority for better or worse. It happens all the time.. DG has had two really great pledge classes and if they do it again this year, then they will for sure be top tier (for how long, nobody knows) with that being said a few of the other sororities have let their classes slip a bit allowing DG to rise. (KD had an awful year in 2012) Advice to new pledges: don't pay attention to "tiers", go with your heart and where you belong. Your new pledge class has the opportunity to help or hurt your sorority, it's all what you decide to make it. nothing is set in stone at furman.

I agree! DG is a rising top tier on campus and I am thrilled for them! They're reputation has definitely improved and they are equal to chi o as far as reputation goes. i gotta hand it to them, they've really turned into a great sisterhood.

Wow!! that post is disgusting and clearly comes from a jealous point of you.. Based on the current pledge class yesterday DG got the hottest pledge class .. By far !!! Just goes to further cement their rising status and with all the hate that is coming their way, this just further reiterate how far they've come.. i'm a freshman that couldnt rush because of grades and the talk on all the holes last night was that DG got the best group of girls

Yes..for sure.. there is a huge difference since I was a student. They are solid top middle tier now.
