low gpa
by: sad
As a first semester freshman, I didn't do so well, earning a GPA lower than 2.0. But, I know that the spring semester will be totally different because I'm more adjusted to BU / college / etc.
Will sororities still accept me despite my low GPA? And which sororities are lenient with the GPA requirement?

Unfortunately, GPA is a major consideration when deciding on PNMs. You definitely will have many sororities cut you for your GPA alone, and therefore your recruitment experience will be tainted. If I were you, I would work really hard to increase your GPA and go through recruitment as a sophomore. No sororities will cut you for being a sophomore and you are much more likely to find the right home!

you can still go through recruitment but keep in mind that many chapter's national organization won't allow them to take a grade risk, especially one as extreme as you are describing, unless the chapter REALLY REALLY goes to bat for you. I would say that its still worth a shot, but that keep in mind that you can always try again next spring once your grades have come up

Does it matter if my high school GPA was high? Because when I was signing up for recruitment, it said that my high school GPA will also be put into consideration. I know I didn't do well my first semester, but will they at least consider my high school GPA? Thank you so much!
