rushing as a junior?

by: Junior

I'm a rising junior continuing on at BU (not a transfer) and I'm wondering how much this will hurt my chances of receiving a bid?

I would say it's a disadvantage, but it's not end all be all. If you look your best and connect with the girls you talk to, you'll probably end up with a bid.

Most sororities want freshmen or sophomores because they will be in the sorority longer. You are less likely to get a bid from the top tier sororities as a junior because it is so competitive but I've seen a couple juniors get bids from low and mid tier sororities in the past. They will usually take a younger girl over an older one but your personality can make up for it depending on what the sorority's quota is like.
