rising junior transfer?
by: transfergirli might be transferring to bu this coming spring and i was wondering as a junior next year, would a lot of sororities not want me? i really want to belong to a sorority for philanthropy and friendship. i'm a really good student and could bring a lot to the table but i don't want to go through with rush next year if being a junior will automatically hurt me.

Greek life is definitely one of the best/easiest ways to find a good group of friends after transferring. Go through recruitment and see which girls you get along with best. If you get along with them, you'll fit in with them - if you fit in with them, it's entirely possible to join any sorority as a junior. Some of the more selective ones could be more difficult but as far as I know, none have strict policies against it.
As everyone says, don't base your decision on who's considered "top-tier." It's not as big of a deal if younger girls decide to join a sorority they don't fit in with, but as a transfer, it could really set you back if the first people you meet aren't the right ones
