south padre island spring break

me and a group of 20 are thinking of heading down to South Padre for Spring Break since Panama City is dying. Wanting to know if that would be a good move this spring break or if we should look elsewhere. We were thinking Padre since every school in Texas has the same spring break as BU. What do you guys think? any tips?
