The hard truth

by: Me

There are a few things you need to know before going through recruitment.

1. Everyone here self ranks. Take every post you see with a grain of salt. People point their fingers at other chapters when literally everyone does this!!

2. Ranks are not as important at BU as they are at other schools. No matter where you end up, you will have a good experience (most likely)

3. This is the cold hard truth for ranks: every year after recruitment people will fight over who is top, who moved up, who went down etc. and it is all BS. The ranks within BU have stayed the same for ages and really the only distinction between chapters in the same “tier” is that they have different vibes.

Adpi/aphi/DG have always been the top 3. I cannot imagine another chapter taking one of their spots unless one of these chapters gets kicked off. Adpi is more studious of the 3, care a lot about their image but also know to party hard. Aphi is typical hot sorority- but since we’re at BU, they’re nicer than people think. dg is girly girls and don’t have as much of a party reputation but still fun

KD/AEPhi always come right after “top 3” Completely different vibes. KD is typical good sorority girls that care a lot about philanthropy, but also care what people think. Aephi is edgier and like to go out.

Gphib/sk: gphi acts like typical hot sorority, but with better sisterhood. SK are cool/nice girls that join sororities for the “right” reasons (sisterhood, philanthropy)

Sdt/theta: sdt is edgier like to go out. Theta are the good girls that take philanthropy very seriously.

Tridelt: to me, the closest example of what sororities were when they were founded. A group of girls that truly care about sisterhood, philanthropy, education. Truly non toxic. The one sliver of hope as Greek life continues to deteriorate.
