recs — good or bad?

if i submit a recommendation to a chapter, will that make me stand out in a good way or a bad way? is it seen as being overeager or trying too hard?

from the persepctive of a girl who has been on the other side of recruitment with my sorority, i definitely think recommendations help! obviously it matters more that you are a good fit for the chapter and click with the girls in it, but if you do, having a recommendation makes you stand out from other girls to the recruitment chairs!
