open letter to pnms

Dear PNMS -
You will soon be deluged with posts on this site. Some will be mean spirited, with the intention of putting other chapters down so that you won't want to pref them. Some will be subtle rankings to make their chapter seem more desirable. A few will be honest and sincere responses intended to give a shred of clarity to the process that awaits you.
From the bottom of my heart, I urge you not to pay attention to the ranks, or to mean spirited posts here or on chapters' individual walls/pages. Every sorority has great things to offer. Every chapter has amazing women. Every chapter has a few mean girls. Every chapter has a few girls who spend too much time on here stirring up conflict - or to promote their chapter by talking another one down.
In some cases these posts are motivated by girls who have beef with a single member of a sorority and take it out on the chapter - or are bitter because they were cut from that chapter during their own rush experience.
No post can substitute for meeting the girls in each sorority and judging for yourself. The anonymity of this site makes it far too easy for bullies to post sniper attacks without any accountability and that's just too tempting for some people - mostly cowards.
