Is getting into Greek life even worth it? Where do people stay/meet and how do people have mixers or anything?

Yes, especially if you're a guy, the only way you will party is via greek life. People stay in the dorms or off campus apartments in allston (basically frat/sport house row). Houses are unofficial and unlettered rentals and that's where mixers and stuff happen.
