Should I get reccomendation letters? or would it make me look like a try hard?

Not really necessary unless you are a legacy or will die if you don't get a specific chapter. But keep your mind open and don't worry because most girls going through won't have one .

Only if you're a legacy or know personally an alumna of the exact chapter you're trying to get into.

Some sororities require a rec in order to be pledged. Why not have yourself covered by getting recs beforehand? Recs can be from any initiated member of that sorority-they don't have to be from FGCU sorority members.

I am a zeta tau alpha alum and we require recs or fgcu involvement (cheer/egals for example)

My sister (below) is a bit confused. You could be Miss FGCU, Miss America, or Miss Universe and you would need a rec to pledge ZTA. It is a national requirement. I can't speak for the other sororities, but I do know that some other sororities nationals require recs too. Why not get a jump start and get one to all the groups before fall rush? You never know which group you will fall in love with, so cover all your bases.

Ok im in zeta now a fgcu and you do not need a letter of rec at all to get into our chapter, yes if you're a legacy it helps but do not believe any of that above cause I'm going to be in my last year in zeta and you do not need one.

recruitment here isn't as serious and competitive as other schools, definitely not a requirement to have rec letters. i would say majority of people don't have them
