if you're a legacy..

by: wantedtobelikemomma

If you're a legacy from Panhellenic chapter that's not at FGCU prepare to be ignored. Everyone for the most part is the first in their family to pledge a sorority. My mom was an Alpha Phi in college and when I went through recruitment I felt ignored and misunderstood. I couldn't bond with any girls because everyone was a first generation Greek. Before you ask, yes it was on my social resume so every chapter's reference committee could see it. The chapters only care if you're legacy was a KD or ZTA so they can steal you away from that chapter.

Idk who wrote this but the whole legacy thing really isn't that deep, like this is very over dramatic being a legacy in any case inst a huge deal I know legacies that didn't go for the sorority they were a legacy for and vice versa. No one is going to "ignore you" because you're a legacy

I agree! They don't take legacies as serious here and it's kinda frustrating
