new breakdown of fraternity ranks
by: Spring 2016
Here's the first two with quick analysis. The next tiers will all be in the same style in separate comments.
Top:
Kappa Sig/KOT
Numbers, money and campus involvement put them on top in general and in good standing with sororities. They dominate in sing and social events and have serious history on Baylor's campus. Like it or not this is definitely the way things go at Baylor. Both took solid pledge classes (with Kappa sigs leaning towards the heavy drinking side of the spectrum.) However with the way Baylor has been treating big fraternities the top may shift radically and soon—especially considering KSigs social probation—but for now these two are secure.

Lower Middle:
Sig Ep/Pi Kapp/Delt
These two are nationally respected groups who unfortunately have fallen to the wayside on Baylor's campus.
Sig Ep may be in its last stages after being barred from taking a spring pledge class. They have absolutely zero campus participation and a lackluster party presence contrary to what they say they focus on. Their numbers and quality are low as it is, and they'll be losing even more before next Fall. The the best they can hope for improvement is to really kick it into gear after this semester, but with the way things look, that doesn't seem likely.
Pi Kapp shares some similar issues. They're small and have been taking low numbers for several semesters. Relatively new to campus (10-11 years old) War of the Roses is their claim to fame, but it isn't much of a claim. The general feel of the fraternity is that their is no interest or passion from the membership, and nothing is likely to change this. For now Pi Kapp remains near the bottom, coasting on mediocrity.
DTD is also on the decline at Baylor, experiencing the same trouble. Despite having a better than average national rep they simply cannot compete without numbers. With Delt there is a serious split in the quality from the most recent two years and the years before that, with the most recent being much worse. With nothing really going for them, improvement seems like something that isn't going to happen.

Bottom:
TKE/Beta
This goes without saying, but these two are lacking in numbers, and thus money and campus presence. This is the case nationally with TKE, however Beta is a sad case of a colony attempting to become a chapter and fizzling out. 5 years ago when they got here there was no need for recolonization by a smaller group and so you get what you have today. A small group running out of motivation that continually leaves people asking "Who are they?"

Surprising to see how many fraternities have screwed up their chance to be good.
All SAE had to do was stay out of trouble and cost on the SAE name.... But they couldn't do it.
All SigEP had to do was stay out of trouble and keep talking 18 man Spring classes and they would have been decent.
Phi Delt same as above.
All 3 have screwed up royally.

The "party" type frats just can't stay out of trouble.
SAE, Phi Delt, SigEp, Delt are all in decline.
And ATO's troubles started once they began moving from a Baylor betty type kid to a more traditional "frat" type.
Over all this leaves Sigma Chi and Fiji in a good position to move up next to Kappa Sig and KOT.
And KA can probably take most of the guys who usaually go SigEp, Delt, Phi Delt.
