how are girls selected to be sweethearts?

What does being a sweetheart/little sis/whatever the title is really mean? How does someone get that role?

Every fraternity has one Official Sweetheart and some have little sisters.

Little sisters are usually called different things.... SigEp calls theirs Goldenhearts.

Guys usually just vote based on the girls they know who are friends of the fraternity.

Sweethearts are usually voted on by the chapter.

Some fraternities like KOT and Kappa Sig want their sweetheart to be from certain top tier sororities.

Others pick any sorority girl they are good friends with.

The girl picked to be sweetheart gets her picture on the composite with the rest of the Fraternity.

The Sweetheart comes to a lot of the chapters functions and in general is their go to girl.

Guys just vote on it. If you want to be one just start hanging around a fraternity and let them know that you would love to be a sweetheart and that you would work hard for the fraternity. Its not that hard.
