grade requirements & the new grading system

by: While I'm on here...

This is a random comment... Still...The new grading system is incredibly frustrating and equally stressful. Just a couple of points on a test or a research paper makes a notable difference in an A vs. an A- and, even two A-s will have a significant impact on ones overall GPA this semester.

So, I'm thinking most if not all sororities (and frats) will have a decline in their organizations overall GPA, maybe a few more members on probation in the spring, and some fairly decent first-semester freshman not making some sororities GPA requirements for rush.

Food for thought: Fair-Enough Grades for a First-Semester Freshman, of let's say, 97, 92, 82, 79, & a 75... would now be a semester gpa of 2.934.

In real life it will not matter...........Law Schools, Med Schools, and Grad schools always get rid of + or - grades. So an A+ becomes just an A and a B- becomes just a B.

Plus Baylor will still be a top 75 university.

Every group has requirements set for them by Nationals that they can't necessarily change just because Baylor's system changes.

Feeling bad for so many girls that did not make grades due to the new grading system. I've heard of so many girls that got about or a little less than what the op said under Food for Thought. Not bad for a first semester of school. Ladies, it you were in the case, I'm so sorry.
