I can't help but think there is some thin funny going on... Kappa usually has great sub dinners and recruit well.

This honestly 100% depends on who are talk to at each SUB dinner. If you're at a dinner talking with a member you already know, or if you and the member make a connection over a common interest, then your conversation will obviously be more natural!

The sub dinners are really just an opportunity to meet girls so that you can establish relationships with them afterwards. I would advise focusing more on these relationships that you have with individual members and where you feel most comfortable in formal recruitment rather than on assumptions made off of sub dinners.

That's mostly true but some groups act so different when it comes to rush week versus how the members actually are. Sub dinners show a better representation of the group than the actual week.
