ifc vs. locals

The national fraternities can't keep relying on the fact that they are good else where. This is Baylor, not UT, not Tech, but Baylor. We have very solid local fraternities and some pretty lousy national ones.

But it does not change the fact that expect for KOT....the local fraternities at Baylor suck.

Plus no one is joining SAE here because they are good at SMU...or SigEp because they are good at UT.

People join the group that most feel is like them.

And most people would admit that the national fraternities are better than the locals...with of course KOT being the only decent local.

OP sounds like a wuss. KOT is mediocre at best, phichi is lame across the board, and all other independents are no-names. Sorry you didn't get a bid from a real fraternity. I'm sure beta, ATO, or sigep would give you a bid. Well, maybe not sigep bc they actually act more like a normal fraternity.

Its just a fact:

Here are the only decent chapters at Baylor...

KOT, SAE, K-Sig, ATO, Phi Delt, Fiji, SigEp, Delt, Pi Kapp

Of those....only KOT is local.

Locals are just not very good.

KOT, Kappa Sig, Phi Delt, ATO, SAE, Fiji

Are basically the only major national fraternities here and ATO and Fiji just have numbers and are not even considered cool.

KOT, Kappa Sig, SAE are on a different level

ATO, Fiji, Phi Delt, SigEp, Delt, and Pi Kapp round out the second tier decent groups.

Everyone after that is not worth joining.
