How hard is rush if I have no recs? I do go to a private school, does that help?

You can't participate in rush if you don't have recs. It doesn't matter if you go to a private school or not.

Rush here is very competitive and you need a rec for every group if you expect to receive a bid

I have friends who rushed without a single rec letter and still got a bid. If you make a sorority want you during rush they will overlook your lack of rec letters.

You need recs. End of story. The stories of getting in without them are rare and they are usually for low tier groups. Get them in soon because the earlier the girls know about you, the better chances you'll have

You only need recs for the good groups. Don't bother with recs for the lower tiers.

Give good advice...YES you need recs for even low tier groups! No group is struggling for members and they all have to make cuts. Girls with no Recs are the first to go.

also you have until december so you're probably fine. your hometown probably has a panhellenic that could help you out!

Recs aren't required to rush, but without them at a school like Baylor you will be cut.

Recs are a must have. Ask around, ask your parents/their friends, your teachers, etc. Sorority women are everywhere. If you can't find any personal connection or a "friend of a friend" connection, contact your local alumnae panhellenic.
