rush 2014

This is coming from a girls perspective.
Guys: First off you should rush at least 2 or 3 different fraternities don't just look at just one because if they neg you then your out of luck. Second go into it with an open mind and don't listen to all the haters on this website, most of the stuff on here is completely wrong. Third take time to get to know other rushees that are interested in the same fraternities as you, this will come in handy during pledging (so I've heard). And last but not least don't just rush a fraternity because they party the most, you can find "fun" however you define that with any group (even the ones who supposedly don't drink;).
Girls: GET REC LETTERS NOW! If you haven't already done this (which you should have) start now it is so important that you have them for each sorority. Next same as the guys go into rush (including fall events such as sub dinners) with an open mind, I thought I wanted one group when I got on campus and my mind was completely changed after meeting some girls from a different sorority. Lastly have fun this is college after all!
