rush2015

by: BaylorTransfer

I'll be transferring to Baylor next spring semester as a sophomore/junior (depending on # of hours going toward my degree plan) I don't know any sorority girls at Baylor, and I won't be there in the fall to attend different events or sub dinners. I am super outgoing and love meeting new people. If I'm coming in the spring semester not knowing anyone wanting to go through sorority rush, do I even have a chance? Which groups (if any) would be open to extending a bid to someone in my situation? I really would appreciate some advice!

Better if you come in as a jr than a soph.... Jrs don't count against quota.

Kappa/ Pi Phi/ Theta might be a stretch.

But AXO/Zeta/ADPi should bid you.

And really there are no bad sororities at Baylor.... All are big and full of cute cool girls.

What about Tri Delta or Chi O?

Decent shot at Chi-O and Tri Delt.

Really depends on what type of girl you are.

AXO and Zeta go out more and are more social

Tri Delt and Chi-O have a more "young life" type rep

you shouldn't say AXO/ZETA/ADPI should bid you....as a junior you have a chance with any of them, as a sophomore basically none.

we could only take 3 sophomores this year and they were girls everyone knew and loved

You just have to get to know as many girls that are currently in sororities during the fall semester, it's all a numbers game.

Like I said, I won't be there in the fall. I am not transferring until the spring so I won't be able to get to know the girls through classes, events, or sub dinners. Is there anything that I could do to increase my chances if I am not transferring until the spring?

as a sophomore and without knowing any of the girls, you almost absolutely won't get a bid anywhere.

however if you come in as a junior, you have a good shot for any of them. if you can find the girls on facebook message them even if you don't know them! they would love to help and they'll grab you during recruitment and give you a little in

If you are coming in for spring semester, you won't be able to rush until the following spring semester rush because you need 13 BAYLOR hours in order to rush
